![]() This is a cheaper and simpler solution, but maybe not the way to go if you’re trying to do hyper-competitive gaming. Otherwise, just use that to get the audio into your ears (still VERY slightly delayed), and use the HDMI pass-thru to send a no-lag video signal to your TV or monitor. Depending on the games you play, this might be acceptable on its own, and you can play on your PC monitor. Console connects to capture card, allowing you to get the audio and video feed on your PC, usually at a fairly minimal delay. Something like the Elgato HD60s, which has HDMI pass-thru, would make it easy. Other entry-level USB mixers will probably run you anywhere from $75-200, and it’ll take a lot more cable management and technical know-how to work.Īnother option: Get a capture card. I use a GoXLR Mini, which can handle this if you do it right - that costs $250. ![]() Something like the Samson Q2U can be found for $70 or less and sounds amazing. think you’d probably ideally want a separate, external mic in this case. But I don’t know how well that’d work, and it wouldn’t work with USB-only headsets at all. If it did, I can’t imagine it being terribly elegant - you’d probably need a splitter cable to break out the 3.5mm into separate headset/mic cables, and most likely both of those would need more adapters to get them tk 1/4” connectors. The thing is, I’m not sure this would work with a headset mic. You can connect the mic input of both computers with a two conductor splitter. It will have a four conductor jack and both 2 and 3 conductor plugs. You could control their volumes independently. If you dont have separate mic and headphone plugs then you will need an splitter that does that. All of the mixer’s output would go into your headset. Mixer would connect to the PC and all PC audio would route through it the console would output its audio to one of the mixer’s inputs. You probably need a mixer/USB interface of some sort. The preview song will not be heard anymore and the Phones Split button on the controller will light up intermittently.
